Khalil serves many years in prison, entirely innocent, in place of his cousin Bahman. During those years Bahman finishes his higher education and becomes a doctor. Released at last, Khalil lives a simple life in his home village. Years later Bahman happens to come to the village and the two cousins meet again. Forgetting everything for a moment, Khalil receives him warmly and even brings him home as a guest — but when he learns that Bahman wants to go hunting he remembers everything at once and understands that none of it taught his cousin, who killed a man with a hunting rifle, anything at all. The film was shot in the Turyanchay reserve and the village of Savalan in Gabala, in Khirdalan, Sulutepe and Masazir on the Absheron peninsula, in Baku, in Guba, at the Sofi Hamid shrine in the Umbaki cemetery and in the studio. It is based on motifs from Isi Malikzada's work of the same name.
