
Fuad Poladov was born on 24 May 1948 in Baku. He completed School No. 132. He graduated from the acting studio of Adil Iskandarov at the "Azerbaijanfilm" studio named after Jafar Jabbarli. From 1967 to 1972 he studied at the drama and film acting faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts named after Mirzagha Aliyev. He came to the art of film in 1966 with the role of Salim in the film "İstintaq davam edir" (The Investigation Continues). While still a student, at the invitation of his acting teacher Tofig Kazimov, he played the role of Savalan in the staging of Ilyas Afandiyev's play "Məhv olmuş gündəliklər" (Destroyed Diaries) at the Academic National Drama Theatre. Following the premiere on 29 November 1969, he joined the theatre's acting troupe. From that time until 1989 he worked in the troupe of the Academic National Drama Theatre. From 1989 he was an actor of the Samad Vurgun Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theatre. Fuad Poladov later developed problems with his vocal cords and had difficulty speaking. He received treatment for a time at the National Oncology Centre. He suffered from cancer for a long period and passed away on 4 May 2018. He is buried at the "Qurd qapısı" (Wolf's Gate) cemetery.
