The film is built on two parallel events. The first follows a film crew that comes to a village to shoot a wedding scene. During the shoot the director (Hasanagha Turabov) realises that the script and the footage are far removed from real life, and so he films the village's real wedding instead of the invented one. The events of that real wedding form the second storyline, where cheerful and sorrowful episodes are naturally intertwined. At the same time the audience discovers the rich traditions and customs of village life. Above all this entertaining comedy is about human happiness and the struggle for it.
