The story takes place in one of the villages around Baku. The hero Shamil (Shamil Suleymanli) wakes after two years of sleep, climbs onto the roof and prays to God for his soul and his sins to be cleansed. That during this time he came to know what the villagers had been doing and what secret intentions they held — and that he can foresee things — disturbs a number of people. Knowing of the partnership between Murtuz (Abbas Gahramanov), who grew rich on dirty money, and the high-ranking official Zeynal (Jahangir Novruzov), Shamil warns them about it. They decide to get him out of their way.
