A film about love, the fight against injustice, and death. Its main line is the love of two young people — a love that saves the human heart from bad thoughts and bad deeds, cleanses and purifies it. Life puts the hero through many trials and hardens him: meeting injustice at every step, Yusif (Fakhraddin Manafov) has to fight it alone, though by nature he is a gentle man. After the war Yusif learns that his father was convicted unjustly and that the girl he loved (Gulzar Gurbanova) did not wait for him and married another. What is he to do — close his eyes to everything, or fight again? What he longs for is a happy life with the woman he loves.
