
Fakhraddin Manafov was born on 2 August 1955 in Khankandi, into a large family. Shortly afterwards the family moved to Baku. He had a great passion for football from childhood and was a very good football player, so much so that those close to him, including family members, thought he would become a footballer in the future. At the age of 16, in 1971, he took a job as a film projectionist at the A. M. Sharifzade Actors' House, and some time later he was sent for military service in Germany. After returning from military service he submitted his documents to the M. Aliyev Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts and received his higher education there from 1975 to 1980. During his student years, from 1976 to 1978, he worked as an actor at the Training Theatre. In 1980, after completing his higher education, he continued his work at the Actors' House.
