Ilkin, celebrating his birthday at his mother's house in the provinces, is troubled by the same dream night after night and, ignoring her prohibitions, says he wants to go to the house where his grandfather and his father disappeared for reasons nobody knows. In that dream his grandfather is trying to hide from someone in that house and calls him for help. Ilkin goes there with his wife and four friends. At first the house seems merely old and abandoned, but little by little it fills its guests with dread. The spirits of a mullah and the strange creatures Ilkin sees are signs that something terrible happened there. Through the night the friends discover that the house is a dwelling of djinns and that these djinns have been killing every man in Ilkin's line, beginning with his grandfather — the cause being that in Soviet times his grandfather murdered a group of religious people in the cellar. As the friends try to lift the curse, dark forces stand in their way with paranormal events and turn the night into a nightmare. Only taking refuge in God can bring them out of it alive.
