
Zemfira Abdulsamadova was born on March 15, 1961, in the city of Baku. She studied at secondary schools No. 70 and No. 250 in Baku. In 1978 she graduated from the Theatre and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. In 1982 she joined the company of the Sheki State Drama Theatre. Her first role there was Juliet in director Huseynagha Atakishiyev's production of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". This production was shown to great acclaim at Shakespeare festivals in Moscow, Russia, and Kazan, Tatarstan. In 1985, Z. Abdulsamadova was invited to work at the Shikhali Gurbanov Musical Comedy Theatre. Her first role there was that of the medical captain "Guler" in Fikrat Amirov's musical comedy "May Your Eyes Shine", staged by Vagif Ibrahimoglu. She went on to perform alongside such artists as Nasiba Zeynalova, Hajibaba Baghirov, and Sayavush Aslan. In 1989, at the invitation of Huseynagha Atakishiyev, she was invited to work at the Youth Theatre, where until 2006 she created one fascinating role after another. It was while working at the Youth Theatre that she met and married her husband, actor Adalat Abdulsamad. Since February 1, 2015, Zemfira Abdulsamadova has been an actress of the Azerbaijan State Young Spectators' Theatre. Alongside her theatre work, she is also engaged in teaching, giving classes in acting and directing at the Republic Art Gymnasium under the Azerbaijan National Conservatory. On July 24, 2023, she was admitted to membership of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan.
