Found guilty of a double murder and given a long sentence, Sadig (Hikmat Rahimov) is released after seventeen years. He learns that his family have died and that his homeland has been occupied. To visit his parents' graves, Sadig crosses the line of contact together with a fellow villager and travels to his village in Kalbajar.
