The year is 1992. Independent Azerbaijan is fighting separatists in Karabakh. Miranda, a journalist, comes from London to make a documentary about the Caucasian leopard. Fate brings her together with Emil, an intelligence officer. Together they pass through hard trials, and along the way Miranda learns a great deal about the leopard and about the tragic pages of Azerbaijan's recent history.
