The film was Ramiz Rovshan's diploma work as a screenwriter. According to the film scholar Aydin Kazimzada it holds an important place in the history of Azerbaijani cinema: it was the last film of Huseynagha Sadigov, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR. One shot shows an encyclopaedia article about Sadigov. Filming took two to three months near the town of Sheki. The premiere was held in 1982 at the Summer Cinema in Kurdamir, where members of the crew and Sadigov himself spoke about the work and shared anecdotes. In 2017 the film was digitised by Rafael Imanov and Khuraman Pishiyari of the Azerbaijan State Film Fund.
