Life is blossoming again on the liberated soil of Karabakh. Little Nargiz flies a kite into the sky and, forgetting everything else in the world, runs after it. Full of joy, the girl does not notice the danger waiting for its hour beneath the ground: a mine. The short animated film Nargiz is intended above all for children. Its aim is to draw children's attention to the danger of mines and to inform the world about demining work in the liberated territories. Educational in character, it stresses that mines are the greatest danger to people in peacetime and that knowing how to protect oneself, how to behave carefully and how to share such knowledge matters. All this is conveyed through audiovisual means, gems of national cultural heritage, and music and graphics that make the images clearer — telling a modern and very real story of the twenty-first century.
