One of the subjects of this documentary is Parvin Gasimova, who lost her sight on 4 October 2020 in the missile strike that the armed forces of occupying Armenia launched on the Azerbaijani city of Ganja. She was twenty-six when it happened. Between 2014 and 2018 Parvin studied at the Faculty of Physics and Technical Sciences of Ganja State University, where Professor Shaig Mammadov taught her the secrets of the fine arts; in the film she meets him again in the fifth teaching block of the university and they recall their student years. The film's other subject is Gadir Gurbanov, born in 1991 in the village of Tugh in the Khojavend district. In 1996 he settled temporarily in the village of Shivarti in the recently liberated Fuzuli district, and while playing in one of the ruined houses he stepped on a mine laid by Armenians, losing both eyes and his right arm up to the elbow. Through the fates of two people blinded by Armenia's policy of occupation, The Eyes of War carries Azerbaijani truths to the world, stressing that regardless of time or place, the nature and essence of Armenian terror never change.
