A woman turns to her former husband Ansari to bring their son back to life, and the general, who serves at a lighthouse on one of the islands, sets out to save his only child. He takes him from the hospital and brings him to his own deserted island. What drives Ansari may be guilt more than love for his son Akif: had he been there in time, had he been able to surround the boy with his love, he might have pulled him from the grip of the “white death”. The time has been missed, yet Ansari believes his harsh methods will work — that they may even be more effective than a doctor's treatment. But the general, living far from people and alone on an empty island, has lost his sense of reality, and in his “treatment” he forgets the one thing that matters: to be cured, Akif must want it himself.
