
Fariz Ahmadov was born on 15 December 1983 in Baku. He studied in the literary creativity and screen dramaturgy programme of ASUCA (2001–2005) and at Rustam Ibrahimbeyov's International Film School (from 2007). He worked as a coordinator at the Professional Film Directors' Guild (2003–2005), as a coordinator at the International Audiovisual Festival (2003–2005), and as a director at ANS TV (2005–2006). He currently works as a director at AzTV. Fariz Ahmadov is the author of "A Small Deposit" (2005, 5 min, a film about a film) and of a one-minute documentary film on the theme "Youth and Peace" for UNICEF (2003). In 2010 he was admitted to the All-Russian State University of Cinematography and in 2012 he completed his master's degree there.
