A Dream of Paradise portrays the contribution of Mirza Gadim Iravani to Azerbaijani art and his place in the history of national culture, and at the same time sheds light on the history and cultural heritage of the ancient Azerbaijani city of Iravan, on the innovations the artist brought to his craft, on classical Eastern ornament and on the art of the miniature. Drawing on documents and archive material, the film also presents the legacy of the intelligentsia of Azerbaijan's Iravan region and the deportation of Azerbaijanis from the territory of Armenia.
