
In the early years of his career he took his first steps in acting at the drama circle led by Vahid Aliyev, and later became a member of the drama circle led by Imran Vahabov at the Narimanov District Children's Creativity Centre. Between 2003 and 2005 he worked as an actor at the "Jannat" People's Theatre named after Nasiba Zeynalova, and from 2005 to 2006, under a one-year contract, at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre. Since 2006 he has worked as an actor at the Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theatre, and since 2009 he has also worked in parallel as a director at the same theatre. Bahruz Vagifoglu has appeared in many films produced by the "Azərbaycanfilm" studio named after Jafar Jabbarli, and has created memorable roles in such screen works as "Günaydın, mələyim" (Good Morning, My Angel), "Cavad xan," "Vəkil hanı??" (Where's the Lawyer?), "Çölçü" (The Herdsman), "Dərvişin qeydləri" (The Dervish's Notes), and "Yarımçıq xatirələr" (Unfinished Memories). As a director, he made the film "Hər şey yaxşı olacaq!", dedicated to the memory of martyr Ali Hasanli. He has repeatedly taken part in the National Youth Theatre Festival and has won it on several occasions.
