
Khuraman Hajiyeva was born on 7 March 1945 in the village of Mususlu, Ucar district. She took part in drama clubs from secondary school. In 1964 she entered the acting faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theatre Institute. While in her second year she was cast in the role of Asya in the feature film "Arshin Mal Alan." In 1966, leaving her studies unfinished, she moved to Ganja and began working as an actress at the State Drama Theatre there. She graduated from the faculty of history and philology of the State Pedagogical Institute in Ganja. She created a gallery of interesting roles at the Ganja Theatre. In 1972 she joined the company of the Young Spectators' Theatre. She worked for a time as an actress at the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theatre (1998–2001), creating interesting roles there before returning once again to the Young Spectators' Theatre. Her roles at the Young Spectators' Theatre, including Jeyran ("On the Road," Huseyn Arif), Gizilgul ("Aychan," Khanimana Alibayli), Rana ("The New Student," Gilman Ilkin), Eyzangul ("Shirinbala Gathers Honey," Salam Gadirzade), Gulsum ("Do You Remember?," Altay Mammadov), Gulzar ("The Miser," Suleyman Sani Akhundov), Gemma ("The Gadfly," Ethel Lilian Voynich), Humay and Jeyran ("The Komsomol Poem" and "Chaloyna," Iskandar Joshgun), Farangiz ("A Love Novella," Shamil Khurshud and Ashraf Hajiyev), Yatar ("Haji Gambar," Najaf bay Vazirov), Marjan and Shirin ("My Songstress Aunt" and "I'm Sorry, Don't Love Me," Akram Aylisli), Javahir khanum and Nazakat ("In the Crystal Palace" and "You Are Always With Me," Ilyas Afandiyev), Sakina ("The Petition," Ali Amirli), Zarnigar ("Steps of Trial," Ramiz Heydar), Nargiz ("The People of One Shore," Khalida Hasilova), Pari ("The Little Hill," Nabi Khazri), and Sona khanum ("If Neighbours Were Neighbours...," Rashid bay Afandiyev), are considered the actress's creative achievements. For her work in the theatre she was awarded the honorary titles of Honoured Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan (9 February 1979) and People's Artist (9 October 1999). She died suddenly in Baku on 15 February 2005 and was buried in Ucar district.
