Nona Pachuashvili graduated from the Tbilisi Theatre Institute. Since 1959 she has been an actress of the Shota Rustaveli Drama Theatre. Over her lifetime she appeared in only a handful of films. She is remembered by Azerbaijani audiences above all for her role as Jeyran in the film "Where Is Ahmad?" Since 1981 she has held the title of People's Artist of the Georgian SSR. Her husband Tamazi, the son of a Georgian minister, came to Baku during the first shoot of "Where Is Ahmad?" While staying at the "Intourist" hotel, he was electrocuted at night by a tape recorder, as a result of which Tamazi died.
