
Momunat Gurbanova was born on 8 December 1958 in Buzovna. She graduated from the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. Her first appearance in cinema was the role of Sharafnisa in the film "Dervish Parisi Partladir" ("The Dervish Blows Up Paris"). It was there that she met her future husband, Anvar Hasanov. The actress appeared in only 3 films, and her husband took part in all 3 of them as well. They were both filmed in "Atlari Yəhərləyin" ("Saddle the Horses", also known as "The Bloody Meadow") and "Sonuncu Doyush" ("The Last Battle"). Momunat Gurbanova died on 8 December 2008. The actress had gone to Nabran with her family to celebrate her 50th birthday. On their way back from Nabran, they were involved in a car accident, in which Momunat Gurbanova lost her life.
