
Magsud Mammadov was born in 1969. He graduated in 1995 from the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. He has been an actor of the S. Vurgun Russian Drama Theatre since 1994. He has played many roles during his time at the theatre. Among the characters he has created — Agent ("A View from the Bridge", A. Miller), Mahmud ("Ray v Shalashe", K. Aslanov), the Actor ("Hello, I''m Your Uncle", Elchin), Doristeo ("The Sly Woman in Love", Lope de Vega), Rex ("The Unattainable", Somerset Maugham), Thomas More ("Royal Games", G. Gorin), Chelme ("The Secret of Genghis Khan", M. Shakhanov), Shoklu Malik ("Burla Khatun", N. Khazri), Kazimbeyov ("Oil Boom", R. Ibrahimbeyov), John Vallone ("Another Jackson", H. Berger), the Duke of Albany ("King Lear", William Shakespeare), and Shapur ("Farhad and Shirin", S. Vurgun) — are examples of the actor''s rich creative range.
