Gunay Ahmad was born in 1985 in the Dmanisi district of the Republic of Georgia. In 1987 her family moved to the Kursk region of Russia, and later, in 1992, to Baku. In 1992 she began practising "Karate Do", and later studied the secrets of Azerbaijani national dances. From 2002 to 2005 she studied at the "Mass Events Director" faculty of the Baku Cultural-Educational Technical School. From 2005 to 2006 she worked as a producer at "CNF Production" under the Jabir Novruz Foundation. During these years she appeared in several music videos and commercials. From 2012 she continued her career as an actress. Her first television series role was in "Sirr" ("Secret"). In 2014, with the help of People''s Artist Parviz Mammadrzayev, she worked at the studio founded under the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre. In 2015 she became a member of "M-Theatre", founded by People''s Artist Vidadi Hasanov. She currently appears in television series and films alongside her work at "M-Theatre". Since 2020 she has been working with the "Actors Agency" talent agency.
