Anvar Abbasov was one of the screenwriters of the comedy Bacanaqlar (In-Laws), running since 2009. In 2015 he left the project, and its screenplay has since been written by Ramin Hajiyev and Tarlan-Nur Yashar. My Name Is Intigam, directed by Emil Abdullayev, was first filmed in 2014. The screenplay for this film was written by Fariz Aliyev and Anvar Abbasov. In 2015 the second part of the film was made, directed by Ilham Yasharoglu. The screenplay for this film was written by three people: Ilham Yasharoglu, Fariz Aliyev and Anvar Abbasov. In 2015 he also wrote the screenplay for the comedy Ay Brilliant, directed by Kanan Mahmudov. In 2014 he was editor and screenwriter of the comedy Giz Atasi (Father of the Bride). Since 2015 he has been an actor and screenwriter of the comedy Gardashlar (Brothers). He later returned as editor-in-chief of the comedy Bacanaqlar. He is a screenwriter for the comedy production company Bozbash Pictures.
