
Elchan Rasulov was born on 22 February 1987 in Saatli district. He entered first grade in Saatli in 1992. While at school, from 1999, he was a member of the "People's Theatre," led by Honoured Artist Tofig Bayramov and operating under the I. Abilov Culture Centre, and later of the "Poetry Theatre," led by Mirahmad Asgarov and operating under the same centre. He was repeatedly a winner and laureate of festivals and competitions. While at school, from 2002, he joined the Nasiba Zeynalova "Jannat Theatre," led by Gudrat Hasanov, and performed in various productions. During those same years he appeared as an actor in the programme "Gulp," broadcast on ANS television, and hosted the "Sheep Reality Show" produced within the "Gulp" project. In 2003 he graduated from Secondary School No. 52 in Yasamal district. That same year he entered the "Variety Stage Acting" faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. His course leader and acting teacher was the People's Artist of Azerbaijan Afaq Bashirgizi. That same year he produced his first television project — the entertaining, humorous programme "Shit Parad" on ATV, in which he appeared as both host and actor. He later worked as an actor on the programme "Sahar Chaghi" on ANS television. In 2006 he began appearing on Space TV's "Comedy Show" programme. From 2007 he began working as a host and actor at that television channel. He later hosted the programmes "Har Bazar" and "Har Sahar" on Space TV. He has worked as an actor at the "Baku Variety Theatre." He worked as head of department at the Baku City Culture and Tourism Administration. He appeared as an actor in the series "Husband and Wife," broadcast on ATV. He is currently the host of the programmes "The Three of Us" and "Stand-up Baku Comedy" on that channel. He has appeared in the films "Kavkaz," "One Million Manats," "The Groom's Family," "The Groom's Family 2," "Tahmina and Zaur," "Wild Thyme" and "A Winter's Tale."
