
Ajdar Ol — Jabiyev Ajdar Feyzulla oglu — was born on 17 August 1958 in the town of Gazimammad (now Hajigabul), Azerbaijan. After finishing secondary school in Hajigabul, he continued his education at the Faculty of Azerbaijani Language and Literature of the Zardabi Ganja State Pedagogical Institute (1975-1979). From 1994 to 1999 he studied law at Moscow State Social University. He began his career as a teacher. He went on to work as a junior editor at the "Ishig" publishing house (1986-1988), deputy director of the Writers'' Creative House (1988-1990), deputy director of the Bureau for the Promotion of Literature (1990-1992), adviser on national issues in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1992-1994), editor-in-chief at the "Shur" publishing house (1994), head of the protocol and press service unit of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1994-2002), director of the Human Resources and Legal Department at the State Social Protection Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2002-2004), and head of the Administration of the State Social Protection Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2004-2013). Since 2013 he has been head of the Administration of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
