
Since 1957 she has published her poems in the newspapers and magazines of the time. Alongside collections of poetry such as "White Radiance," "Sunday Garden," "Eve's Word," "Nature's Landscapes," "Steps," "The Resting Garden," and "The Lines of a Face, Five Novellas," A. Akhundova has skilfully translated into Russian samples from ancient Turkic epics as well as works from English, Arabic and Georgian; her works have been published in the languages of many peoples of the world. She has also translated into Russian the works of Vagif Samadoghlu, Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, Kamal Abdulla, Fikrat Khoja, Isa Ismayilzade and other Azerbaijani writers. A. Akhundova's poems have been translated into English, Romanian, French, Azerbaijani, Arabic and Japanese. The play "Secret. Secret. Secret" and the prose work "The Expression of a Face" are also products of her pen. Alla Akhundova is the author of a number of short films as well as animated films. "The Shared Bread" is her first screen work.
