
Tanila Ahmarova was born on 1 June 1950 in Baku. From an early age she began performing in the drama circle at the school where she studied. Joining the ranks of students at the M. Aliyev State Theatre Institute (now the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts), she learned the secrets of great film and theatre art from the master artists of her time. Graduating from the institute in 1977, the actress began her career in cinema with the film "Gharib Adam" (A Strange Man). She became an actress of the "Azerbaijanfilm" studio named after Jafar Jabbarli. Tanila Ahmarova created lyrical and delicate characters in a number of films. Despite the modest scale of her roles, she managed to remain in the audience's memory through nearly 20 films, including "Şir evdən getdi," "Tələ," "Təhminə," "Arşınmalçı," "Evlənmək istəyirəm," "Əlavə iz," "İlıq dənizdə buz parçası," "İşarəni dənizdən gözləyin," and "Qəribə adam." Expressing the character's inner world, feelings, and emotions through natural tones, the actress succeeded in painting a delicate and graceful portrait of a woman. Tanila Ahmadova became a beloved figure among the people for the character of Sevda that she portrayed in the film "Qaynana."
