Ruslan Huseynov is one of Azerbaijan's most sought-after bassists. He started out with the group "Rast" before moving into jazz. All of our leading musicians gladly invite him to take part in both festivals and club programmes. He is sometimes overwhelmingly busy, yet he still finds time to work on himself and stay up to date with innovations in jazz. In life he is a very calm, quiet person, yet deeply devoted to music. Given that his sons have already started learning the double bass (as can be seen in one of the photos), there is a chance this love of music will pass on to his children.
