
Rovshan Isakh was born on 14 August 1970 in Ganja. He studied Drama Theatre and Film Acting at the M. Aliyev Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1988-1992). He worked as an actor at the State Youth Theatre (1993-1994) and the State Pantomime Theatre (1994-1995), and taught at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (1993-1998). He has worked as a director at Azerbaijan State Television, ANS TV and Space TV. He served as executive director of the Azerbaijani branch of Turkey''s Samanyolu Television, STV Azerbaijan (1998-2001). He is currently director of "Positive Media". He is the author of full-length and short feature films, as well as dozens of advertising films. On 1 August 2024, by order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, he was awarded the "Taraggi" ("Progress") medal for his services to the development of Azerbaijani cinematography. He is married with three children.
