
Rahman Furgatoglu was born in 1989 in the city of Ganja. He finished secondary school in Ganja. He has worked in the field of television and film since 2009. He worked at the independent television and radio company Kapaz from 2009 to 2015. He received his higher education at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, completing both his bachelor's and master's degrees at the film directing faculty. He was a student of the distinguished film director Vagif Mustafayev. Since 2015 he has worked on some of the country's highest-rated television series. From 2019 to 2020 he worked for one year as a director at ARB television. Alongside this work he has independently produced advertisements, music videos and films. He has been awarded Young Director of the Year, the "Memory of My Homeland" film award, and the award for best director at the Nakhchivan Film Festival. He is a Rasim Ojagov scholarship holder. He is a member of the Azerbaijan Union of Cinematographers.
