
Nijat Dadashov was born on 30 November 1989 in Baku. After finishing school, from 2007 to 2011 he studied at Baku State University. As a second education, he graduated from the screenwriting faculty of Rustam Ibrahimbeyov's Film School. Nijat Dadashov is the screenwriter of the films "Khannas" (2017), "Two Strangers" (2017), "Silence" (2018), "A Delicate Matter" (2021) and "The Fence" (2022), and of the series "Second Spring" (2014), "Maryam" (2016), "Stepmother" (2017), "Sari Gelin" (2017) and "The Wound of the Heart" (2018). N. Dadashov's 2018 film "Two Strangers", written based on motifs from Mir Jalal Pashayev's story "The Kamtarov Family", received the "Best Social Film" award at the "Grand Asian" Film Festival in Beijing. He was among the laureates of the international documentary film screenplay competition "Distinguished Azerbaijanis of Russia", held jointly by the Azerbaijan Union of Cinematographers and the A. M. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Fund. In 2020 his film "The Fence" won the short film competition "The Great Return", organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2022, with the screenplay "Farewell, November!" he took part in the Ministry's feature film project, and in August he was among the winners of the "Azerbaijanfilm – 100" screenplay competition of the Azerbaijan film studio with his screenplay "The Basement".
