
Mirsadig Khanoglan oglu Agazade was born on 9 March 1962 in the Lankaran district. He finished secondary school in Lankaran in 1979, and that same year enrolled in the directing programme at the Baku Cultural and Educational College. Between his studies, from 1981 to 1983, he served two years in the Soviet army, completing his service as a first-class aviation mechanic on bomber aircraft. He then continued his studies, graduating from the college in 1985. From 1985 to 1991 he worked as a methodologist in the Lankaran district department of culture. From 1991 to 1996 he studied film directing at the faculty of film and theatre directing of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Over the years he worked at Azerbaijan Television (1994–2000), at 215 KL (1997), at TGRT (1997–1999), and in the documentary film department of Lider TV (2001–2004), and from 2005 to 2010 he headed the Experimental Projects department at Space TV. From 2006 to 2015 he continued his career at Ictimai TV (Public Television), from 2014 to 2016 at ATV, and from 2015 to 2023 at the Jafar Jabbarli 'Azerbaijanfilm' studio. He has worked as a director and screenwriter at various television channels and studios across the country, and has directed and authored numerous films and television programmes. In 2003–2004 he took part in and won an award at the 'AVANTI' project, held for independent filmmakers of the South Caucasus, representing Azerbaijan. He has taken part in international film festivals as both participant and jury member. He is deputy chairman of the board of the Azerbaijan Guild of Professional Film Directors.
