
Mammad Sadigov was born on 2 May 1913 in Baku. In 1926 he was admitted to a pedagogical school but did not complete his studies. From 1931 to 1932 he was a member of the acting troupe of the Baku Turkish Workers'' Theatre. From 1 February 1933 he worked in the troupe of the M. Azizbeyov Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre. His first role on that theatre''s stage was Karapet in Jafar Jabbarli''s play "In 1905". In his youth he also performed under the surname "Sadigzade". Mammad Sadigov, who appeared in more than 20 Azerbaijani films, was known for his distinctive voice timbre. He died on 28 May 1987 in Baku.
