
His grandfather was the well-known academician Ahmad Rajabli. His grandmother held a candidate degree in physics and mathematics, his father a candidate degree in technical sciences, and his mother a candidate degree in medical sciences. Between 1966 and 1976 he studied at School No. 1 in Baku. He was one of the most skilled child actors of his time. He is married and has two children. He graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. After earning a candidate of sciences degree in 1985, he returned to Baku and worked as a lecturer at the Azerbaijan Institute of Petrochemistry. In 1989 he travelled to Canada through the USSR Chamber of Commerce and remained there, beginning his career as a cybernetics programmer. He currently lives in San Diego. An expert in the field of energy, K. Rajabli works as a consultant for well-known American companies and is a professor of energy engineering. He visited Azerbaijan in 2010.
