
Aldaniz Zeynalov was born on 1 January 1937. While still a schoolboy, on the recommendation of his uncle Hasanagha Salayev, he performed children's roles at the Azerbaijan State Drama Theatre. He trained as an actor at the Theatre Institute (1956–1962). While still a student he was cast in one of the leading roles in Eldar Guliyev's film In a Southern City. After graduating he began working at the Academic Drama Theatre. He first played the role of Gunduz in the production of Sevil. He later created memorable characters in theatre and film, on television and radio, and in many storylines of the satirical newsreel Mozalan. He appeared in the foreign productions Dulcinea del Toboso (Mosfilm) and The Planes Did Not Land (Uzbekfilm). A laureate of the "Humay" award (1999), Honoured Artist (1974) and People's Artist, Aldaniz Zeynalov passed away on 5 November 2001 and was laid to rest at Yasamal Cemetery.
